He’s home! We had time to chat a bit while we were waiting on discharge arrangements and I reiterated to Jeff just how fortunate and blessed he is to be going home. There were times things could have easily gone the other way. He knows how lucky he is and hates that he can’t make more of each day. His mind is willing, but his body reminds him he has some recovery ahead.
Of course we went straight from the hospital to Cabela’s today. He couldn’t wait to get his hands on the very generous gift from Ira! Getting in and out of the car wore him out, but he says it was so worth it. Anything to see him smile.
We have a wheelchair, a nebulizer, and a walker and will have home health come a few days. He’ll get some physical therapy to work on his strength. And he has time to recover before chemo starts again after December 2nd.
It wasn’t long ago that my hope was dwindling, but I have found new strength and today hope is restored. I know he still has some trying times ahead, but with continued determination we’ll get through it.
So glad you got to spend Thanksgiving with your family.
And you got yor gun too.
I agree with Dan, great smile !!
God is GOOD! I’m glad you stopped at Cabela’s 1st… priorities, priorities! lol I pray for you my friends.
God is AWESOME, ALMIGHTY…THE ALPHA and OMEGA!!!
My favorite book of the Bible is Psalms 139…your days & destiny was created by God even before you were created. YOUR life is HIS plan, at times it is crappy…but in the end He has a plan for you. He has never made a mistake, not once! He doesn’t want you yet, you have a story to be told. I’m blessed to see it forming.
I continually pray for you both. My dad says hello and hang in there…he said you are already done with the hardest part everything else should be easy breezy!
Love you!!!

We are very happy to hear the wonderful news. We are so glad that you are going home. Ed and I pray for you and your family every night when we say our prayers. We don’t know what God’s plan is for each one of us but I think we just need to put our trust in God and enjoy each day with our family and friends. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with Reta and your family. My husband and I are thankful for another year and we just keep looking forward because we know we have a lot to be thankful for this year. Ed and Frances

Jeff,
I have never stopped (not even one day) praying for you. You are so strong and it is unbelievable that you are actually back at home. You sure had us worried.
We have no idea what God has in store for each of us. But I want to have those wonderful hugs you give out, again. Please enjoy each day you have been given. There are many miracles out there. You could be one!!!!
Lovingly, MM
